Nevada SPCA

This is the best website! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the ASPCA, American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. They do great work throughout the United States & have hundreds of no-kill shelters that house anywhere from roosters and pigs to great danes & chihuahua's.

NSPCA is Southern Nevada's leg of the ASPCA. They rescue animals from kill shelters & adopt them out.

For my friends in Las Vegas---Please check out this website (or any shelter website for that matter) for adoptable pets. I happen to love this site because they do such a great job of 'marketing' their animals. Their adoption rate is impressive!

My first blog

I remember joining this blogger site a while ago, but I have since forgotten about it. My boyfriend is a long-time blogger and many friends are jumping on the bandwagon, so I wanted to give it a shot. I have a creative side that is sometimes repressed & I love to write. I especially like to keep in touch with people. I listen to NPR every day on my commute to work in my car. The other day on NPR, a woman mentioned how these days (and particularly for my generation), we won't be as surprised / excited to see our classmates at our high-school reunions because we already know their whereabouts & the latest and greatest news in their lives, thanks to the web. I couldn't agree more! With all the social networking sites, blogs, Google taking over the world, etc we stay well informed (and sometimes we know more than we would like to know!) So here is one more way I can communicate with my friends scattered across the globe.
